Great start in Malaysia!

Golf update:
We had an awesome week at our first tournament this fall in Malaysia! We finished tied for 10th. We got off to a great start shooting 5 under.  J Moore was hitting it very well.  Jonathan got to play in the last group the last day. It was a great experience and it was fun having a gallery following our group.  We are thankful for the fun memories God provided us with this week both on and off the course.  
We're excited for the rest of the fall as we are playing a tournament almost every week.

Oklahoma Open

Jonathan had a great tournament and finished T3 at the Oklahoma Open this weekend.  He was in contention the last day, but we didn't quite get it done.  He played great everyday of the tournament and drove the ball awesome!  He also made some great long putts that were fun to see go in the hole!
A SPECIAL thanks to all of our family and friends at the tournament this weekend!!!  We had quite the gallery, which made it so much fun!!!  Thanks for your support and loud cheers!  We are so thankful for you all!

So what's next???

We leave this Thursday for our first tournament in Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA September 5-8.
We are so excited to get back in our routine over in Asia again!  We're looking forward to some good Asian food and seeing some of our friends on the Asian tour.
I will keep you all posted while we are in Asia....

Jonathan's parents and my parents all got to see it go in the hole!!!  It was Jonathan's 1st hole in one and we were so thankful we all got to be apart of this fun memory!!!  My dad's top question for J Moore is always "Did you make a hole in one today?" so for it to go in the hole with him there was pretty cool.

Koh Samui, Thailand

Jonathan and his friend Mathew Rosenfeld at the Queen's Cup in Koh Samui, Thailand.  J Moore finished the week at 12th place.  We were thankful for a great week and getting to spend time in beautiful Samui!

Fun in the northwest

We had a wonderful time up in the northwest with great friends and played lots of golf. Jonathan got to do his US Open local qualifier on his old stomping grounds at Royal Oaks Country Club in Vancouver, WA.  We had a blast getting to spend time with Bob Britt (uncle Bob)!  Thank you Bob for making our stay in Washington special and memorable. 

So the results of the qualifier...

Jonathan played great, but missed it by one shot.  We actually played in a 7 man play off for the first alternate spot and Jonathan won the play off.  It ended up being a 6 hole play off, which made it a long day for this caddie.  My award  was getting to go to Burgerville for the first time and get J Moore's all time favorite the chocolate monkey milk shake.  So Jonathan is 1st alternate for the sectionals US Open Qualifier at the beginning of June.  Now we'll just know we did our best and leave God the rest!

Off to the Byron Nelson Qualifier on Thursday and Monday!

Golf update: 

Jonathan played really well at the Indonesian masters. He finished 12th place and played great on the weekend. We are excited about a couple good tournaments in Asia! 

We are now both in Oklahoma and enjoying seeing family and friends!

Team Moore in Asia and Oklahoma

Sorry there hasn't been an update in awhile mostly because Jonathan is in Asia right now and I am in Oklahoma.  Since the trip is a short one we decided I could come to Oklahoma.  I am loving working and getting to see my family! I've also been able to catch up with my Optometry friends at my optometry conference this weekend. 

Golf update: 

Jonathan played in the Singapore classic last week and had a lot of fun with his dad caddying for him.  There was a lot of rain delays so the tournament ended up being a 3 round tournament.   Jonathan was in contention but ended the tournament T15. 

What's next?

The Indonesian masters in Jakarta April 19-22.

Malaysia

We played in an Asian Developmental tour event this week in Kajang, Malaysia. We had an okay week finishing the tournament T33. We enjoyed our time in Malaysia and got to experience the extremely crowded commuter trains. Lets just say there was some pushing and shoving just to get on it! We're excited about next week in Cambodia as we both have never been there before. I'm excited for some fun sight seeing!

British open qualifier

We missed by a shot in a play off!! Only 4 guys made it and unfortunately we were the 5th.
It was fun to be in contention in another tournament. Just needed a few more putts to go our way. We look forward to the day when the outcome leads to a big celebration afterwards.
We know it's all apart of God's perfect plan! We will just wait on his perfect timing!

Golf update

Myanmar open:

 We played our 1st event of the year in Myanmar and had a great week. It was fun to experience a country we had never been to.  We Finished T15th which we were really excited about! J Moore got to play in the 2nd to last group, which was a cool experience because there were a lot people out watching.  

Philippine open: 

We missed the cut, but we were encouraged by Jonathan's 2nd round as he was putting really well. It was a crazy course called wack wack country club in Manila. 

This week:

Off week in Bangkok. J Moore is practicing at suwan golf course. 

What's next?

Sail open in New Delhi, India February 22-25 (if we can get our visa's)

Full moon in Manila!!!  After a long day of trying to get our India visa's we finally make it to the course so Jonathan can do a practice round.  We got a practice round done in 2 hours and 15 minutes!

We still couldn't get our India visa's, one of the challenges of playing on the asian tour is trying to get a visa for certain countries.  Hopefully we can get it done in Bangkok!

We had a blast with a great group of guys! I think we were all surprised to win as we were all out there just to have some fun! We really enjoyed meeting you all!

Hey Everyone!  I'm starting this blog so our friends and family will be able to easily follow Jonathan's golf and also be able to see pictures of all the beautiful places we are each week.  We are so excited to share our journey with all of you!  So get ready for some TEAM MOORE adventures Asian style!  

The FUN begins at our first tournament in Myanmar February 2-5.   We leave the USA January 27th and will be gone for 3 months.  Please be praying for us as we are traveling in Asia.
